New Bridge Across Hudson River Opens Saturday

As i noted in August, the Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge is re-opening, as a pedestrian bridge, on October 3, 2009. A 6,768 foot railway bridge across the Hudson, it opened in 1889 and closed in 1974. . See Walkway Over the Hudson's website. Also see ENR.com for more technical details.
