'New' Pedestrian Bridge Across Hudson River Opening Soon

The Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge is re-opening on October 3, 2009.  A 6,768 foot railway bridge across the Hudson, it opened in 1889 and closed in 1974. This October it reopens as a pedestrian bridge.  See Walkway Over the Hudson's website.  Also see ENR.com for more technical details.
