According to residential brokerage firm Aptsandlofts.com, an estimated 2,818 new apartments are expected to either be
completed or will be entering marketing by the end of this year.
However, this figure, widely distributed in the news media, is completely misleading, as it lumps together both projects that are entering their marketing phase now, with those that have been marketing for years and are now reaching completion.
My best guess is that at least 1,200 condo units and perhaps as many as 1,500 are still under construction, with CO's approaching by next summer. The biggest chunk, nearly 900, will be on the waterfront.
Not that im sure precisely how many are actually on the market!
